I heard the other day that September is the new January. Is it?
After a long hot summer of fun and frolic, many folks were talking about the desire to get grounded and back to the basics. Kids are back in school, vacations are over, time to start again. Much like New Year’s resolutions the thought was “summers over, time to set goals for the rest of the year”.
I really like that idea and set about to chronicle my goals for the reminder of the year. I’ve never been a huge fan of resolutions. I typically set goals for the year for myself and my business, however resolutions always seemed like something I had to give up. So, this year is going to be different.
I love the fall, it may be one of my favorite times of the year. I love the crisp air, the beautiful leaves and something about hunkering down and getting ready for the winter pleases me. It seems like the perfect time to charge full ahead making the most out of the 4 months we have left in 2017.
Beat the Competition
Goals in hand, I’m ready to face the rest of the year head on. As my competitors are wallowing in Halloween candy, stuffing themselves with turkey and stuffing, getting lost in December parties and gift-giving, I’m gonna get out there and kick some serious butt in my business.
Is September the new January? We’ll see, for me it is. I can’t wait to end the year having played full out for these next 4 months.
Is September the new January for you? What will you do to kick-start your business after a relaxing and fabulous summer?
